In the United States there is a huge issue with homelessness. These are people who have ended up living on the streets for a multitude of reasons. These people are mostly forgotten about, ignored, or even wished gone by a lot of people. These are the people living on The Outside Of Society.

Tim Jorgensen

Tim Jorgensen has been on the streets of Greeley, CO since 2015. Jorgensen has spent 1 year in prison and says the hardest part of living on the streets is the cold and the way people ignore him and give him dirty looks. Jorgensen originally ended up on the streets because of substance abuse issues and stated, “its nobody’s fault but my own and I’m perfectly happy where I am.”

Ray

Ray is originally from Texas and ended up in Greeley, CO since 1968. Ray has been on and off the streets since then and his son was murdered in 2014 over drugs.

Bobo

Bobo has been homeless in Greeley, CO for six years but has recently found new housing. He has suffered from substance abuse.

Ronald Taverna

Ronald Taverna was jumped in Central Park un 2004. He had the left side of his skull cracked open and most of the bones in his body were broken. He was in a coma for 6 months, a full body cast for 3 months and then spent another 6 months in rehab learning how to walk, talk, and eat agin. He has traveled to all lower 48 states and has been on the same corner in Greeley, CO since 2015 where he has made enough money to spend small amounts of time here and there in the local motel.

Julie Harmon

Julie Harmon suffered a stroke in 2017 and went to the hospital in Denver where she died and had to be resuscitated twice before returning to greeley, CO.

Christian Hicks

Christian Hicks is originally from Georgia where he worked in the adult industry. Hicks followed a prostitute all the way to Greeley, CO where he has been living in a tent on the street for the past three years. He spent a year in jail for unpaid child support. Hicks chose to be homeless upon his own accord because he was tired of paying other people’s bills. Hicks comes up with a new humor filled sign every day and stated, “if you’re gonna ask for a dollar, might as well make people laugh while you do it.”
